THE PHOTOGRAPHS
Regional Rides is a photobook presenting a selection of photographs shot during a solo motorcycle road trip around the twelve regions of the United Kingdom, undertaken in the autumn of 2017. The photographs – shot with a smartphone – include portraits, scenes, landscapes, and still life – and at once document the journey and the state of the country in the early twenty first century.
Following a general introduction, each of the twelve chapters will introduce a region and the itinerary, before presenting seven photographs taken during the three days spent in the region. Each image will be captioned, and may include general as well as more specific commentary.
