We’re asking for the British government to stop arming countries that do not give a damn about human rights. We’re asking our British government to stop training governments that do not give a damn about human rights. We’re asking our government to take a stance and speak up against atrocities, against human rights violations. The protest at Piccadilly Gardens will start at 13:45. I invite you all to take part and join in this demonstration raising awareness and raising the profile of the Rohingya community – a persecuted minority. We all have a duty to stand up and raise awareness about the atrocities taking place. No more arming foreign countries who don’t give a damn about human rights. The speakers today will include many MPs including Kate Holland, the Blackburn MP, including George Galloway, including [ ] MP, Naz Shah MP, Wajid Khan MEP, a rabbi from the Central Manchester Unity Forum, a representative of the Sikh community, a representative of the Muslim community, a representative of the Christian community.
