Breakfast : orange juice; coffee; cornflakes (milk).

Spent time with friend.

Elevenses : coffee; madeleines.

Worked on TNS. Sky News Political Editor parroting resigning British Prime Minister; Adam Boulton said there are arguments as to his record without evaluating himself.

Afternoon

Lunch : chorizo and tomato omelette; salad.

Jardinage : mowed front lawn and weeded path/driveway edges.

Tea : black tea; biscuits.

Went food shopping. Continued jardinage.

Evening

Prepared salsa verde and dessert. Received friends for supper. Spoke about developments in energy : apparently expected peaks once planned electric car fleet in place are different and greatly exceed current supply capacity; significant movement toward delivery by cargo cycles in places (e.g. Paris). I said it was ‘Adieu la voiture’ in my view.

Supper : sea bass with orange and tarragon en papillote; salsa verde; new potatoes; green beans; clafoutis.

Turned in after bidding guests goodnight and clearing up.
