Breakfast : orange juice; coffee; muesli. Read about industrial action by PCS and RMT.

Did dishes and went bathroom.

Worked on CSR (painting). Chairman of 1922 committee announced ballot on confidence in PM. Secretary State for DCMS imploring Conservative Party MPs to think of donors.

Elevenses : coffee; shortbread.

Continued working as above.

Afternoon

Lunch : fried egg; rice.

Continued working on CSR (painting; altering standard lamp).

Tea : black tea; shortbread.

Continued as above.

Evening

Went to Waitrose buying reduced chicken and ginger kebabs and shower gel. Man in street approaching pedestrians and singing ‘no one will give me any money and no one cares’ to himself.

Supper : chicken and ginger kebabs; rice.

Wrote to journalist hoping to meet up for advice.

Worked on CSR (finished painting). Reported that PM won vote but margin less than achieved by predecessors (Thatcher; Major; May). Not particularly interested : the struggle is to take power from class institutions and classes.
