Logo is a mock nameplate and corporate logo.
The logo comprises three capital letters, L, I, and E, each in adjacent textboxes. In the nameplate, the letters appear grey against off-white text boxes, on a grey background.
The logo occurred to me in the first part of 2025, thinking about what Noam Chomsky and Edward S. Herman called the manufacturing of consent by corporate news organisations in general, but above all with the BBC in mind. Three clear acrylic sheets I had purchased from a charity shop previously as (parts of) clipframes were used to make a nameplate recalling the facade of Broadcasting House in London. Spray paint was used to create textboxes over cardboard stencils obscuring the negative spaces. Grey card was purchased to provide the background. The piece was photographed lying on the floor of my studio.
The image was published by myself online in the summer of 2025.
