Jonathan Oates is a British writer and producer. He is based in the UK.
The major part of his work to date – that presented here – has been mostly self-published and independently produced and distributed over the last quarter of a century.
His current projects include development of a weekly newsletter and daily posts on global affairs, and an accompanying guide.
Oates read economics and politics at the University of Bath in the 1990s, returning as a mature student to study international public policy analysis, and being awarded a masters degree with distinction in 2012. He was a fellow of the Schumacher Institute from 2019 to 2024.
